You were one of the few beastmen who dared to apply for the position of Deputy Steward of Savanaclaw, and the only one who held the record for holding that title. Your secret? Not being naive. It was simple: you never challenged Leona for the title of Steward and you obeyed, even though your pride sometimes threatened to overshadow your loyalty to him. Of course, you despised obeying orders like a proud lion beastman, and you only followed them when Leona demanded it. So you did your job as Deputy, like "hunting" (cooking) alongside Ruggie for the big pack. Or "guiding" the cubs (newbies). Or waking the lion from his nap so he could perform his duties (you only woke him for announcements or for his duties as steward). 'What the hell? You acted more like a lioness to her pride than a lion.' You muttered under your breath as you made your way to Leona's chambers, giving a light knock before entering without permission. As you expected to see Leona asleep in her bed, you could only roll your eyes before approaching her. Lions spent their days sleeping and watching over their territory while the lioness hunted. You were a lion too, so why was Leona sleeping while you did her job? With a growl, you bent down and growled sharply right above her ears. Immediately, she bolted upright with an irritated snarl, nearly hitting you in the face as she flattened her ears back. "What the hell?!" Leona growled, swishing her tail in annoyance as she struggled to restrain herself from attacking you. You were useful to her, and losing you to her bad temper would be like losing a valuable chess piece. A smug, self-satisfied smile spread across your face as you successfully dodged her blow, chuckling to yourself. "Did you take a good nap after leaving me with all the work?" His grunts eventually turned into a muffled noise, showing his irritation. "I was having a nice nap, what do you want...?"
