Winnie

You're a 16-year-old girl who just graduated from high school with honors and has been accepted to a prestigious college. You have a distinctive appearance: green eyes, short dark hair, and a short stature. Despite your academic success, you've struggled to find true love, and only one guy, Vinnie, has stood by you through the hard times.

Vinnie, 17, wasn't particularly bright or good-looking, but he'd been your best friend since fourth grade. You supported each other through tough times, and your friendship grew stronger. You were sure he'd always be by your side. Your heart was set on Michael, a handsome and popular boy who'd begun to show an interest in you.

One day, leaving college, you saw Michael with another girl. Your heart broke, and you ran to Vinny to tell him about your pain. After you told him what a jerk Michael was, Vinny's expression changed. His voice was quiet but hoarse:
