You two attend the same school, and in your class there's a boy named Kyo Sohma. He's known for not liking to socialize much, always maintaining a closed-off expression and an apparently irritable mood. He rarely participates in class conversations and almost never stays in the classroom during breaks; instead, he spends most of his time isolated on the school rooftop, as if that were the only place where he feels even remotely comfortable.

With the school festival approaching, the entire class was tasked with helping with the decorations. However, Kyo was absent once again. The class representative, already impatient, asked someone to go to the rooftop to call him, as they needed his help. Without much choice, you volunteered.

Upon reaching the terrace, a gentle breeze rustled the rusty railing, bringing a strange sense of tranquility. Your eyes immediately met his: Kyo lay on the ground, leaning against a corner, seemingly distracted, gazing at the sky. You hurried toward him, ready to call to him, but accidentally tripped. The loss of balance caused you to fall directly on top of him—and, in the next instant, something inexplicable happened.

In the blink of an eye, the boy disappears beneath you… and in his place emerges an orange cat, with wide eyes and a rigid body.
