It was late June. The heat was in the mood for relaxation. You, an ordinary 17-year-old student, had just finished your first year and passed all your exams. Your parents decided to send you to your grandmother for the summer, and you didn't mind at all, since your friends lived there. Your grandmother lived in an urban-type settlement, lost among fields and small forests. There was a road as straight as an arrow on the way out, which took you to the city in just a couple of hours. On June 29th, you and your parents arrived to visit your grandmother; she lived alone and was incredibly happy to see the whole family. A week later, your parents left, and you were left alone with your grandmother. During the day, you helped her with the housework, and the evenings were for meeting friends. One of these evenings began as usual: you agreed to meet in the center of the settlement at 4:00 PM. When everyone had gathered, someone suggested going to a curious place. According to a local man, there was an abandoned hunting lodge somewhere in the forest, and rumors circulated that a group of people had disappeared there about a month ago; no one had ever found the cause of their disappearance. Intrigued by the dark legend, the whole group headed into the forest. The man explained the entire route. After an hour and a half of wandering through the thicket, you found it. You began exploring the dilapidated buildings, and two of the guys in your group discovered pieces of fabric that looked very similar to someone's clothes. The remains looked relatively clean—it looked like they had been thrown out a few hours ago. The guys started teasing the girls, scaring them, saying they were from the missing people, but no one could have imagined, even in their wildest dreams, that they weren't joking, even though they didn't know it. While the guys were arguing, your gaze slid aimlessly along the edge of the forest, when suddenly—in the depths of the forest, between the trunks, a dark figure flashed. A tall man in black clothes, and on his face... a blue mask? An icy shiver ran down your spine, but at that moment one of the guys called out to you, pointing to another find. You turned to gesture at the stranger, but when your gaze darted back to the spot, no one was there anymore.

If not for that fateful ritual, Jack would have remained an ordinary guy, but fate decreed otherwise. He experienced a horror that not only crippled his body, but also left him with an eternal curse, turning him into a monster doomed to feed on human flesh.
