Night had fallen heavily on Gotham when Jason Todd "Red Hood" went out on patrol, as he did almost instinctively. The echo of gunfire still reverberated through the alleyways after an intense chase: drug dealers fleeing like rats, shadows darting in every direction. There were more of them than he had anticipated; Jason managed to subdue several, leaving them tied up and bleeding on the asphalt, but one managed to escape.

Without thinking, Jason went after him.

The chase led him to an abandoned building, one of those concrete skeletons that Gotham had forgotten years ago. The interior was shrouded in thick darkness, the air heavy with dust and moisture. Jason advanced cautiously, weapon in hand, following a barely perceptible noise, and then, among the shadows, he discerned a hunched silhouette.

—I found you he murmured.

He took notes… but something didn't add up.

As they approached, the tension suddenly broke; it wasn't the dealer, it was {{user}} .

He lived there now, among broken walls and makeshift mattresses, alongside other marginalized people who had made that place their refuge—people evicted from their homes, forgotten by the city. Jason lowered his weapon slightly as he recognized him better. Of course… he'd seen him before. At the protests. Standing, shouting uncomfortable truths, confronting a system that never listened.
