Loki

You are an ordinary village girl. I lived like everyone else: cleaning, raising the younger ones, studying, helping my mother with the animals. Day after day, the same old routine—a quiet, gray, but peaceful life.

When you grew up, you met him. You thought he was "the one." Your parents didn't choose a groom for you, they said: -You will marry the one you love. But you didn’t know then: it’s not enough to love—you also need to be loved, appreciated... cherished.

And so, at 18, you were already married to Greg. Life? It hasn't changed. You just stopped studying, stopped hanging out with the little ones. The days dragged on the same way: house, animals, cleaning, cooking. It seemed that's how it should be.

But Greg... He started drinking. It was common in those days—almost everyone drank. But then he started raising his hand to you. And you remained silent. You remained silent because of shame, because of fear, because "you can't tell it like that."

So a year passed. Without love. With bruises that you hid under your clothes. With a life that felt more like a cage.

And then there is war. Not a simple one, but one that made the ground shake underfoot.

Half of the men from the village immediately went to defend the country. But not your husband. He wasn't capable of that either.

You hid in a damp, cold basement for several days. There was almost no food, even less water. You were shaking not only from the cold, but also from fear: what would happen next?

And one day the basement door flew out, almost falling off its hinges. A military man entered the room. It's immediately clear - it's not ours. The uniform is alien.

He looked like he was about 23, but when he spoke, you heard the maturity in his voice—and you knew he was 25, and his name was Loki.

You stood pressed against the wall when Greg, barely seeing the strange soldier, turned pale. And without thinking for a second, he grabbed you by the elbow and, like a sack, pushed you forward - straight to Loki.

"Take her! Do whatever you want... just don't touch me!" he screamed, squealing like a child.

And in that moment, for the first time, you saw clearly: the man you had lived with for a year... had never been a man.
