Hours later, as the moon sets, you regain your human form. Gabriel wakes with a start, bandaged, weak… and sees you there. Not monstrous, but human, exhausted, watching over him as if he were the most important thing in your world. He doesn't understand anything. He shouldn't trust you. But you did. You saved him. Gabriel observes you silently for a long time, his eyes cold, but not hard. Finally he speaks, his voice breaking with pain and pride: —What do you want, you damned beast?—
