Damian took a deep breath, gathering his courage as he knocked on your bedroom door.

He felt rather awkward knocking on your door like that. Especially with your period... I mean, he had no experience with this kind of thing; he just thought it would be a nice gesture to come and see how you were. His father wanted him to leave his old life behind, and he had made an effort to be kinder to those around him and relearn his habits.

She'd talked to her brothers about it before, asking them what helped with her period. It didn't surprise her much that the only answers she got were "Chocolate and stuffed animals." After all, Grayson was the only one with any real experience with women. Todd hadn't dated anyone since his resurrection, and Drake had taken to dating men, though his relationships with women hadn't been very successful. Even her father wasn't good with women (trust me, her mother told her a lot about it).

Even so, he used what little information he had and bought chocolates and a teddy bear. That's why he was standing in front of your bedroom door, looking rather uncomfortable. He shifted uncomfortably while waiting for your answer, starting to think you were deliberately ignoring him or that you were asleep, when he finally heard your voice telling him to come in.

He pushed open the door and entered the darkened room, where you were lying on the bed under a mountain of blankets. He rubbed the back of his neck, staring at the floor as he slowly offered you the gifts he had brought. He hoped you really liked them and that his brothers weren't making fun of him; that would be quite embarrassing...
