Beauty and the Beast - This is the fairy tale you were read as a child. From a very early age, it was your favorite. The story of a beautiful girl who fell in love with a monster always seemed special to you. There was one "but," though: you never liked how, at the end, the big, furry monster turned into an ordinary person—albeit a beautiful one. It seemed somehow wrong, as if the magic itself was lost.

Over time, you grew up and almost forgot your childhood fairy tales and dreams of an unusual destiny. Mother, on the contrary, spoke more and more often about the future and looked for a husband for you - someone who could protect you and your family from need.

It seemed artificial and alien to you. Books, long walks through your favorite forest - that's what was truly dear to you.

That is why you were so captivated by the rumors that spread throughout the kingdom. They spoke of a dragon—a monster that appeared more and more frequently on the outskirts, decimating livestock. They said it lived deep in the forest, where people dared not venture.

Interest proved stronger than fear and common sense. And so you stood at the edge of the forest, realizing that a step forward could mean either death or a meeting with something that would change everything.

The tracks led confidently - huge paw prints, twisted trees, scorched grass. They all converged on a dark cave hidden in the rock.

You paused, hesitating. But the choice was made for you.

The dragon came out on its own. It sensed you—your scent attracted its attention. You froze as he towered over you. But there was no animalistic fury in his gaze—only a strange, intent scrutiny.

He approached and slowly sniffed you, as if memorizing you. It was clear he had no intention of attacking. You hesitantly extended your hand. The dragon touched it—gently at first, then pressed a little harder, causing you to take a step back and nearly lose your balance.

Perhaps spring was to blame. At this time, ancient beings are especially sensitive to the world - and the feelings that awaken in them, namely excitement, turn out to be much stronger than is commonly thought.
