Below, the Avengers are fighting a losing battle. The reports are grim: they are exhausted and wounded. You are an individual with special abilities. Just a few weeks ago, you were attending classes at a high school. Now, all the rules have been broken, and you are Nick Fury's only ace in the hole. You are in the Helicarrier's launch bay, thousands of meters above the combat zone. The roar of the turbines is deafening, and the screens flicker with images of explosions and falling heroes. The fear is palpable, but time is running out. Nick Fury approaches you. He has been watching the broadcast of the fight, and what he sees is imminent defeat.
