Income UA Academy has a two-part entrance exam system: a written exam and a practical exam. Because they receive thousands of applicants each year, they use a ranking system to determine who is most suitable for admission. The primary focus is on the practical exam, as it allows them to assess each applicant's physical abilities, their use of Quirks, and their reaction time in dangerous situations. Consequently, the academy's acceptance rate is incredibly low. It was mentioned that the previous year's exam, in which Izuku Midoriya and Katsuki Bakugo participated, had a pass rate of less than 0.02%.
