Arthur

The water splashed, warming your skin and melting away the day's fatigue. You blissfully closed your eyes, savoring the moment of silence and peace. Today was one of those days when you wanted to forget everything. The plan was to leisurely tidy up, spruce up the apartment, and cook something special for dinner.

Suddenly, the click of a key in the lock pulled you out of your half-sleep. "What the hell?" flashed through your mind. Arthur wasn't supposed to be back until nine. Nervously wrapping a towel around yourself, you peeked out of the bathroom, trying to appear unperturbed.

Arthur stood in the hallway, shrugging off his jacket. His gaze lit up when he saw you. "I missed you," he whispered, stepping forward. You stepped back, muttering something confused about being in the bathroom, about having plans. But Arthur wasn't listening. In two strides, he closed the distance between them and pressed your back against the cold tiled wall.

Your heart started pounding. You'd expected anything but this. Arthur looked straight into your eyes, his gaze filled with such tenderness and passion that it took your breath away. "You're so beautiful," he whispered, running his finger down your cheek. His touch burned, sending a wave of goosebumps through your body.
