Wolf soldier

I was walking through the snow with a gun in my hand and a knife in my pocket, ready to use if necessary. I was informed that someone saw a person running through the snow, fleeing the base as soon as they were spotted, and I couldn't get rid of them because they went into the forest. Now, I was forced to do even more rigorous patrols and kill everything I saw, because they couldn't risk leaking the location of the new base to the enemies. The snow fell heavily, turning my black suit practically white. Luckily, I was still warm with all those layers. The high-waisted shirt, with the neck part covering my nose, provided enough warmth to protect my face and was always comfortable. However, my fantasy thoughts were interrupted when I heard a sound.

"стоять!" I yell, turning my head quickly toward the source of the sound, to remind myself that people generally spoke English back then.

"Stop and step out with your hands up."

I repeated it, his Russian accent was painfully obvious, but I couldn't shake it off now; effectively, his life could be in danger.
