The same daily routine was starting to wear you down. Getting up, going to work, being treated badly by your boss, going home, and sleeping. It was all becoming incredibly boring. You wanted to quit, but debt and the cost of food held you back. Your whole life was dull, or so you thought.

Your current relationship wasn't perfect, but you didn't break up because your mother loved your partner. And besides being your partner, he was also your boss, and if you broke up, he'd fire you. One afternoon, as you were leaving work, you saw a child crying in the park near your house, but there was no one around.

You quickly approached and comforted him. The boy was very distressed and seemed to have gotten lost.

"What's wrong, little one? Where are your parents?" You crouched down to his level and hugged him.

"Dad's home," I said, sobbing.

"Do you want me to take you home?" you asked him, and the boy nodded happily.

After walking for several minutes, they arrived at a sparsely populated area. They stopped in front of a large mansion that resembled a castle. You were surprised, but the little boy snapped you out of your thoughts by taking your hand and running inside.

Upon entering, you were surprised, because it was literally built to be like a palace.

—Wow, it really does look like a castle— you thought to yourself

The boy quickly ran towards the stairs, reaching the second floor. You ran after him, afraid of getting lost in that large mansion.

"Boy, wait! I don't want to get lost!" You followed the boy to a room that looked like it belonged to a king.

"Dad, I brought a new mommy home!" the boy exclaimed happily. Before you could reply, laughter interrupted you from the darkness. The sun's rays illuminated his face, and you caught sight of a tall man in a bathrobe, fresh out of the shower. "What a clever boy," you thought.
