Code

Code is the last active inner member of the Kara organization. Carrying on the legacy of Isshiki Ootsutsuki, he inherited the Ootsutsuki clan's will to become a Celestial Being and continuously evolve.

Code

Personality

(Code mocks Delta.)

Code appears to have a mocking and arrogant demeanor, something observed when he smiled upon seeing Jigen placing Victor in his place and mocked Delta for being weaker than him. He demonstrated confidence that he or Boro could handle Naruto and thus ensured that one of them would be sent to deal with the Hokage and retrieve Kawaki. In the anime, he laments Koji's death in killing Victor, wishing he could have done it himself. Code showed aversion to Kawaki's antagonism about being chosen as a Vessel for Isshiki, lamenting his own Karma's failure. Delta noted that he was pleased that they had lost Kawaki. He was known to be Isshiki's most loyal subordinate, revering him as a god and being a worshipper of the Otsutsuki clan, a loyalty that extended to Jigen. So great was his loyalty that, despite the White Karma granting him strength beyond Jigen's, he remained obedient and willingly accepted limiters being implanted in his body.

Isshiki's death greatly angered him, and he vowed not only to avenge him but to obey his final decree to become an Otsutsuki, aiming to continue the clan's legacy. He was also very perceptive, having discovered that Boro disobeyed Jigen's orders to eliminate some of Amado's cyborgs and instead stored them within his own base for future use. Despite his loyalty, Code proved to be lazy, as he fell asleep while guarding the Ten-Tails. While operating independently, Code proved to be a very cautious and methodical man. Knowing how risky it would be to face Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha in his reduced state, he opted to enlist Ada's help, acting patiently to achieve his goals.

Code

However, seeing how constantly pressured he was by Ada, who despised him, and how he couldn't understand his true feelings for her, Code chose to go his own way, with a growing hatred for Kawaki, whom he considered the cause of most of his problems, vowing to eliminate everything that was special to the young man, even Konoha.

Code

Appearance Code is a thin young man with curly, messy red hair, a contrasting shade of red. In the manga, his eyes are green and he wears different silver earrings: a triangular one in his right ear and a pointed one in his left. He also has a black Claw Mark, resembling a studded belt, covering part of his scalp and face diagonally. In the anime, he was initially depicted with brown eyes, purple earrings, and a light gray Claw Mark until the Code Invasion arc, in which the colors were corrected. Below her right eye, there is the Roman numeral "VI" tattooed, something common among Kara's inner circle members.

Because he is a flawed vessel, Code possesses a White Karma on the palm of his left hand, taking the form of a white, diamond-shaped seal that, when activated, spreads across his hand to his left eye. And like the other members of Kara, his body was also modified by Amado, managing to alter both hands into large, dark-skinned, tough claw-like forms.

He wears a long-sleeved black shirt under a vest, the front of which is black on the left and lilac with vertical stripes on the right, while the back is white. In the manga, he also has a silver pocket watch chain attached to the vest. He also wears a white ascot tie, black pants, and shinobi sandals. The ends of the pants, as well as the sleeves, have a section lined with lilac with vertical stripes. Over his clothing, he wears the Kara cloak with a purple inner lining and a brooch with the organization's symbol.

As a child, Code did not yet possess the Claw Mark on his face or the tattoo below his eye, but he already carried the White Karma and Amado's technology in his body. He wore a black jumpsuit with a high collar and a combination of a gray hood with a white shirt underneath. He also wore dark pants and went barefoot.

Code

Shortly after removing his limiters, Code's hair completely changes to white with a flowing style, as do his eyebrows and eyelashes, while his nails turn dark and his eyes red, revealing his pupils. After escaping from Ada and Daemon along with Bug, his attire became similar to Count Dracula's: a long, high-collared cape with a chain clasp over a black vest, a white shirt with black forearms and purple cuffs, an ascot tie and studded belt, black pants, and shinobi boots with lilac striped details. Sometime in the three years following Boruto's desertion of Konoha, Code's left eye develops a scar that prevents him from opening it.

Code

History Past At the time Kawaki was brought into Kara, Code was one of fifteen candidates for Jigen and Amado's Ootsutsuki ritual, to test if he would be a suitable vessel with Karma for Isshiki, although only Kawaki succeeded in the ritual. Code, on the other hand, suffered tremors and spasms, just like the deceased candidates who were unsuccessful, but managed to survive. As a result, Code obtained White Karma. With the surprising reaction that occurred in Code's body, his combat abilities exceeded even Jigen's. Although any of Kara's Inners who became stronger than Jigen through modifications were discarded to avoid threatening Jigen's leadership position, Code was exempt from this fate due to his unwavering loyalty, leading Amado to instead install limiters in his body that only the scientist himself could deactivate.

Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Kara's Acting Arc Code meets with the other internal members of Kara, where they are informed by Jigen that one of their facilities in Amegakure was destroyed by an external member, Garashi Tono.

Code

Bow of Ao

(Code meeting with the inmates at Kara.)

Code participated in a meeting held by Jigen to discuss the urgent situation related to the missing "vessel." When Jigen dispelled the Communication Genjutsu, he expressed that they should recover the vessel at all costs. Later, he was summoned by Amado, along with the other Interns, to have their bodies checked and detect anything suspicious about the traitor under the guise of it being just maintenance; Amado also confirmed Victor's death, surprising Code. During which, Code found it interesting that Victor swore his efforts were sabotaged. He wondered if someone within Kara was after the "vessel" now that he's in Phase 3. He also became suspicious when Boro already knew about Victor's execution.

(Code attempts to attack Jigen.)

Shortly after, Code silently eavesdropped on Jigen and Amado's conversation when the former confirmed that nothing abnormal had been detected between them. Following this, Code ambushed Jigen, who easily repelled his attacks. Code asked to deal with the traitor, but Jigen ignored him and reminded him of his assigned mission, much to Code's dismay. Afterwards, Delta taunted Code about Kodi Kashin being closer to Jigen, as well as Code's own need to impress him at all costs.

Growing impatient, Code decided to find the traitor himself, beginning his interrogation with Delta, since her number was "I". When he accused her, Delta retorted that she seemed the most pleased with the disappearance of the vessel. Code became furious and prepared to attack, but Amado arrived to calm things down.

He revealed that the system check on everyone showed no signs of betrayal. Amado insisted that Code not act hastily or he risked angering Jigen. However, since Boro and Koji had refused to go through with it, Code was now suspicious of them.

Code

Later, elsewhere in the hideout, Code vented his frustrations to Koji.

Code

Kawaki Arc

(Code questions about Karma.)

Code participated in a meeting held by Jigen to discuss the urgent situation regarding the missing vessel. While Jigen dispelled the Genjutsu, he stated that they should recover the vessel at all costs. In the anime, he was summoned by Amado along with other inmates to have their bodies checked, with the hidden objective of detecting anything suspicious about the traitor, under the guise of it being just a review; Amado also informed them of Victor's death, surprising Code. During the review, Code recalls that Victor swore his efforts were sabotaged and wondered if someone within Kara was after the vessel now that he had reached Phase 3. He also began to suspect Boro, who already knew about Victor's execution.

Later, Code silently listened to Jigen and Amado's conversation, during which the former confirmed that nothing unusual had been detected on them. Subsequently, Code ambushed Jigen, who easily repelled his attacks. Code asked to deal with the traitor, but Jigen ignored him and reminded him that he had already assigned him a mission, much to Code's disappointment. Afterwards, Delta mocked Code about Koji Kashin being useful to Jigen, as well as Code's own need to impress him.

Growing increasingly impatient, Code decided to investigate the traitor on his own, beginning his interrogation with Delta, since her number was "I". While he accused her, Delta replied to Code that he was probably the one who would be most pleased with the vessel's disappearance. Furious, Code prepared to attack, but was stopped by Amado, who calmed the situation. He revealed that the system check on everyone showed no signs of betrayal. Amado insisted that Code not rush or he might irritate Jigen. However, since Boro and Koji failed the inspection, Code begins to suspect them.

Code

Later, elsewhere in the hideout, Code vented his frustrations about Koji.

Code sees Delta pass by after she receives permission to check on the progress of the mission assigned to Koji by Jigen, commenting on how simple-minded Delta was. Later, impatient with Jigen's sudden disappearance, he approaches Amado about what was happening. Amado reports that Jigen was recovering after his recent maintenance. Seeing Amado still investigating possible traitors, Code theorized that Jigen's more relaxed attitude with the interns indicated that he already knew who the traitor was. Amado then asked Code to call Boro for his maintenance. While Code hesitates, stating he wasn't allowed to leave the base without Jigen's permission, Amado assures him that he would take responsibility for Code's actions, guaranteeing it would be a good help to Jigen. Finding Boro at his cult, he delivers Amado's message. Although he initially refused, Code threatened to use force, leading Boro to come.

After Delta was defeated by Naruto, Code was present, mocking her for being too weak to face the Hokage, and thus the task would fall to him or Boro. He was also surprised to learn that Momoshiki had left behind a vessel, wondering if it was placed in Sasuke Uchiha, where Delta reveals that Boruto Uzumaki was the one who received the Karma. Later, Code was surprised to learn that the combined effort of Naruto and Sasuke was able to push Jigen to his physical limits. As Jigen began his recovery under Amado's care, he noted that the battle had proven beneficial to Kara, as the only two threats to them were incapacitated and that Kawaki's Karma was showing great maturity. Jigen assigns Code the mission to watch over the Ten-Tails.

Later, while Jigen was recovering after his last battle, Code was still with the Ten-Tails.

Code

Reporting to Jigen that everything was calm there. After Isshiki's death at the hands of Naruto, Sasuke, Boruto, and Kawaki, Isshiki's soul migrated to where Code was, emerging from his White Karma to deliver a final message. Isshiki ordered Code to use that flawed Karma to become a complete Otsutsuki, sacrificing Boruto or Kawaki to the Ten-Tails and eating the Chakra fruit, and to continue devouring worlds and evolving until reaching godhood. Code agrees, but first asks Isshiki to tell him who was responsible for his death so that he can avenge him. After hearing this, Code swore revenge on those responsible for Isshiki's death while activating his Karma.
