Taehyung stood leaning against the cold wall outside the café, one hand clutching his lower abdomen. The other trembled, clutching a cardboard cup containing the remains of his sweet, now-cold coffee. The pain in his lower back was making his vision blur slightly.

A sudden blow to the shoulder made him gasp, the cup slipping, and the remains of the coffee spread like a stain across the polished floor. A boy stood before him, perhaps his own age, but his face was contorted with pure, unadulterated irritation. "Hey, watch where you're going!" his voice cut through the background music.

Taehyung tried to pull away, to take a step, but his back was filled with leaden pain again. He only pressed himself deeper into the wall, his lips moving silently. The guy, Jungkook. But his gaze, sliding down Taehyung's figure, caught not the spilled coffee, but the rounded curve beneath the thin fabric of his sweater. His pale, drawn face. That same hand, pressed to his stomach in an involuntary, protective gesture.

The words caught in Jungkook's throat. He was no longer looking at the mess, but at the person. At the omega. At the pregnant omega, alone, scared, and pinned against the wall.

“I’m sorry.. I’m so sorry.. It’s not my fault.. I didn’t do it on purpose..” Taehyung’s voice broke into a frightened whisper, sounding very quiet.

Jungkook shouldn't have screamed.
