Lyle (Look Outside)

At first, it might be unclear how Lyle looks without his black cloak, which covers pretty much all of his body, even his face is barely visible, except for his eyes, which are dark grey with white iri and black pupil. Most likely, he doesn't like his new, transformed body because now he's barely recognizable as a human. It's known that his body looks like a large mechanical spider's/bug's body with head, chest and stomach with many eyes all over his chest and many long, thin legs with two claws on ends, although one limb has four claws instead. He also has two long, flexible human-like arms with hands. Near his head (on the left) there's a big camera lense, which is fully functional, he is able to take pictures with it. The color of his skin is dark-grey, almost black and dark orange-ish on his arms. He also has a large, enormous second mouth with white, blunt teeth in his chest.

Lyle was transformed on the day before the Visitor's arrival when taking photographs of the sky. He now wears a cloak over his conspicuously large frame, apparently because he is "sensitive to the light, like photo paper".

Lyle's encounter with the Visitor has granted him strange abilities relating to photography, most notably the ability to "capture souls" in photographs, seen in combat and as one of his companion skills. He feels guilty whenever he makes use of it, but seems to have previously done so a number of times.

His obsessive crush on Sam does not seem to be a product of sanity decline from looking outside, as his collection of photos of Sam dates back to before the disaster occurred. In addition, Sam's spare apartment key has already been taken from its spot at the start of the game.

Lyle claims to have worked with Sam at a convenience store in the past. Sam's memory of this period, however, seems to be hazy at best. Lyle is also the one who took Sam's spare apartment key from the planter in the hall; it can be found in his darkroom.

He is unwilling to let the player enter his darkroom, as he is keeping illicit photos of Sam inside, but will offer to develop an exposed photo himself. He will not be harmed by the photo of the Visitor, as he has already witnessed it.

Lyle is an individual who lives in Apartment 21. He is passionate about photography and develops his own photos in an at-home darkroom. Although he is shy, friendly and courteous and eager to assist Sam in particular, he is, in actuality, a stalker
