Following Seth's death, Nicky is the second oldest member of the team, after Renee.

Nicky majored in marketing.

Nicky is gay, but struggled with this within his religious and homophobic family. His difficult relationship with his parents and the suppression of his own identity led to depression. Nicky spent his final year of high school on a study abroad program in Stuttgart, Germany, in an attempt to escape his home life. While in Germany, he met his host brother, Eric Klose, with whom he gradually developed a romantic relationship. Nicky returned to America only to finish high school, and then returned to Germany to live with Eric. When his aunt Tilda died, he returned to the US to take custody of his cousins, Andrew and Aaron, wanting to keep them away from his parents and their religious mores.

Personality: Nikki is very cheerful and happy. He's easily upset by the tragedies many of his teammates experience and tries to get along with everyone, though he sticks by Andrew's side for most of the book. Nikki's personality is probably more reserved than he usually lets on, but he portrays himself as loud and extroverted to compensate for how withdrawn Geminis are.

Appearance: Nicky had a jet-black head of hair, dark eyes, and even his skin tone was a couple of times darker than bronze. He was 182-184 cm tall.
