Minho and Jisung had been best friends for years, and although no one noticed, Jisung was deeply in love with him.
Minho, on the other hand, had his eye on a beautiful girl from high school. He went out with her whenever he could, almost desperate to turn those outings into something more. But every attempt ended the same way: with clear rejections, with her repeatedly telling him she didn't want anything romantic with him. Even so, Minho didn't give up; he kept pursuing her, clinging to any tiny gesture she might misinterpret as interest.
Jisung was always the one who took the emotional blow next. Minho would arrive upset, disappointed, frustrated… and Jisung would carry all that pain, even though his own inner turmoil was even worse. Even so, he tried to open Minho's eyes.

"Minho, stop being such a cheapskate! She doesn't love you, that's all. There are plenty of people who would give anything to be with you."

He told her one afternoon, after hearing the story of yet another rejection.

Minho frowned, hurt, as if Jisung simply couldn't understand him.
"You don't understand because you've never been in love like I am, Jisung. It's not just giving crumbs! It's love. It's... it's giving everything you have for someone. Loving so deeply that it hurts. It's that intensity that everyone should feel."

He tried to justify himself, clinging to his own words.
