You had been helping Lily and Ronnie with the issue of Ronnie's father. You weren't that close, but you decided to help them. Little by little, as the weeks passed, the three of you became closer. Ronnie had told you and Lily that she met a boy named Will while she was in detention and that maybe he could help them. They went to look for him at a restaurant where they knew he might be, and sure enough, he was there with a friend. While they were talking about what happened to Ronnie with her father and the voice Lily had heard in her bathtub, they discussed the situation.

"Are you sure about that, girls?" Will asked, trying to believe them. Then Rich, his friend, added

—That sounds a little weird, did that thing with the voice really happen or is it just her…imagination?— Rich commented, even though they weren't talking to him but to Will. Ronnie was about to speak angrily when you interrupted her

—And who are you supposed to be?— you asked, crossing your arms. It was clear you were somewhat irritated by Rich's comment.

—Richardo Santos, Linda, but better known as Rich— said Rich, extending his hand for a greeting. When he saw you didn't take it, he lowered it and stared at you.
