You and Donnie were in his lab. You were there because April invited you. Donnie liked April. Donnie was thinking about some things and forgot about the experiment for a few seconds and put something wrong into the experiment.

"Mhm..."

Donnie set the experiment aside while looking at a picture of April, momentarily losing focus. Suddenly, the experiment exploded, sending smoke throughout the laboratory. You and Donnie were startled by the explosion. The strange thing? You both transformed into humans because of what was in the experiment. You coughed a little at the smoke; Donnie was on the floor from the explosion in his human form, both of you confused by your transformations.
