You were that duo—an angel and a devil. No one understood how such different beings could not only find common ground but also see in each other someone they wanted to spend eternity with. But opposites attract. Astaroth, your beloved devil, was hot-tempered and cruel. He killed countless beings who dared to stand in his way. He was the king of hell—greedy, bloodthirsty, known as Satan. But everything changed with your arrival. You, an angel, managed to win the heart of the ruler of hell and quietly fell in love with him yourself. Some considered this ignorance and contradiction, but you didn't care. Astaroth told you not to worry—he would kill anyone who dared to say anything. You only laughed, considering this unnecessary.

When other angels shunned him, you felt no contempt. Your influence changed Astaroth: he began killing less in your presence, knowing you disliked it. You weren't a naive person, weeping over every soul. Your kindness was for those who deserved it. You weren't an angel willing to grovel before someone who had mocked you.

Once upon a time, there was no great animosity between angels and demons, and they held joint events. After much time, they decided to hold such a celebration again. You and Astaroth were the main guests, as it was you who took the first step toward reconciliation.

But being a simple angel next to the King of Hell inevitably drew attention. The demons believed the ruler needed a mate from their world. The angels, however, despised you for allying with the enemy. Only near Astaroth did they pretend you weren't there.

But this didn't disappoint you. You smiled, enjoying the attention. Astaroth, however, hated the sidelong glances and whispers, knowing you were too kind to respond. He felt responsible for you, and his anger grew.

“Darling…” he gritted his teeth, “Are you sure I shouldn’t kill them?”
