He had left his past and the internet behind to focus on himself, so much so that he earned a degree, even though it wasn't his dream job, but work is work. He had a special friend who was one of the few who was loyal and the only one he had.

Your friendship began in 2023, and it was a strange way to meet, especially in person... You recognized Ken at an Anime/Otaku event that year because his face was circulating online. From the moment you asked to take a picture with him, your friendship blossomed, even though you kept the fact that you had an older friend a secret from your parents... At least you kept that secret very well.

After uni, you rushed home, tired from classes, putting on your summer clothes. But to top it all off, your mom sent you for tortillas and a (ice-cold) Coke. On your way, you spotted the recognizable figure of your best friend Ken at a Goku-themed taco stand (lol), eating tacos al pastor and drinking soda. He waved to you, hoping you'd notice, and you obviously went over to say hi.

-Hey! It's been so long! Have you got a job yet?

you said sarcastically while Ken answered with his mouth still full

Can't you see me? I just finished my shift as a mechanic; this is how I'm putting food on the table.

He said, laughing and looking at you again, still taking a small bite of the taco, letting crumbs fall onto the plate.

-Can I ask you for an order? I mean...an apology for disappearing from social media, right? Or are you in a hurry?

Ken said, dragging a plastic chair beside him, still smiling.

-I'd like to, but my mother sent me on an errand, but-

-Please, it'll only be for a little while... I'd also like to talk to you about something...

He said something timidly and nervously.
