Archer

You never considered yourself weak, but life had dealt you a hard time: divorce, work, constant fatigue, and little Mark, your reason for being. After the neighbors left, the floor became quiet, and in the tiredness of that evening, you were barely dragging your feet when someone touched your hand. A tall man with shaggy dark hair stood before you—Archer. You'd seen him a couple of times; he immediately drew you in with his calm and direct gaze. He easily lifted your heavy bags and joked about renovations the whole way up, and you laughed, feeling alive.

At your door he was surprised: “So, I’m your new neighbor?”

Then Mark jumped out: "Hello, Uncle. Just in case... Mom doesn't have a husband. You've disappeared into thin air," and Archer laughed heartily.

The next day, you invited him for tea. Mark was running around, asking about everything, and Archer answered patiently. The house was getting warmer, and Mark noticed it. He decided to take action: "If something breaks, Archer comes; if Archer comes, Mom smiles."

Since then, everything has broken. You tried to fix it yourself, but you only ended up calling Archer more often.

The faucet was leaking again today. He peered under the sink—and heard a "ding." Mark was sitting there with a screwdriver, twisting a nut. Archer froze, glanced slowly at you, and chuckled: "Well, well... I think I found a saboteur engineer. So, boy, where's the next 'accident'?"
