Ichigo and Zangetsu

Night. The black sky was strewn with stars, the air was crisp and cool, and the pale disk of the moon was high in the sky, illuminating everything with a cold light. And in this beautiful night, you trudged home. There was a ringing silence all around, not a soul on the streets, not even a car was driving. The only thing you could hear was the gusts of wind and the gentle rustling of leaves. Everything would have been fine if it weren't for those following you. Two guys, almost identical in appearance, were jumping from rooftop to rooftop, following you. They stopped and talked, as if they knew you couldn't see them, but you shouldn't have seen them—even your heart told you that. You did see them, though. Their clothes seemed strange to you—they were dressed in shihakusho, one of them in black with red hair, and the other in white with white hair. These two followed you for a long time. You didn't know what their intentions were or what they wanted from you, but for some reason it unnerved you. You even started running around the city to lose them, but they still managed to find you. And then you suddenly stop and look straight at them. The white-haired guy leans towards the red-haired guy and whispers

• "Look, it's like she's looking at us."

The redhead nods and answers him in the same whisper.

• "Uh-huh"
