The electronic music made the walls of a bar shake. You were dancing on the dance floor, relaxed.

From the shadows of a corner, leaning against the wall, Ghost watched you. The mask was still on. His eyes, hard and cold behind the mask's sockets, didn't leave you for a second. They followed the movement of your hips, your arms. And every person who came too close to you made his shoulders tense. His hands opened and closed with a calmness more dangerous than an outburst of anger.

For him, it wasn't the bar that was dangerous; it was you being there, exposed, where anyone could touch you, look at you. Where he couldn't control every variable.
As you headed towards the bathroom, a strong hand grabbed your wrist.

"Let's go," Ghost growled.

— "Ghost? What's wrong? Just…"

You couldn't finish. I guided you out of the bar. The black SUV was there. In one swift motion, he placed you in the passenger seat and closed the door.
The journey was silent, charged with more than just tension. He drove without looking back.
When the vehicle stopped, they were already in the military residential area. Without giving you time to question anything, his hand took your arm again, guiding you upstairs to a separate room.

The place was small, neatly organized: a desk full of papers, a narrow bed.

Ghost slowly removed his mask.

"You weren't safe there," he finally said, his voice raspy. "Dancing like that... Anyone could have followed you."

"Jealousy?" You tried to sound defiant, even though your heart was pounding. "It was just a dance. I was with the team."

"The team was distracted." He moved toward you. "I can't concentrate if I know you're out there, shining like that for anyone to see. It's a risk I won't allow."

—So what is this then? My prison?— You whispered, backing away.

"It's not a prison," she replied without hesitation. "It's your safe place. Where I know no one can touch you... where you're mine {{user}}
