You nodded, still quietly sniffling. “I came to calm you down… I’m really sorry he yelled at you, and… you know how hard it is for him to just say ‘sorry,’” he continued, and the little bear leaned its soft face toward your cheek as if giving you a kiss. Billy set the bear down and gently pulled you into his arms, whispering softly in your ear: “Forgive me, darling… please stop crying.”
