You met Mason by chance, according to your friends. In reality, it was a clash of two equally fierce forces. You're stubborn, hot-tempered, and defending every emotion to the last. He's tough, straightforward, unyielding, the best MMA fighter in his weight class, a man who never backs down.

And yet, you were together for almost a year. Loud kisses, loud fights—your love burned brightly, like a fire constantly stoked. Sometimes it seemed like you were holding on by sheer stubbornness, sometimes like a single word from you could keep him from falling.

Then that fight happened. No one remembered the reason—just the scream, the flash of anger in his eyes, and your voice, breaking before you could think:
— We're breaking up!
"It's about time!" he said, as if it didn't break him inside.

You slammed the door and went to your friend's, hurt and stubborn. But that night, lying on the couch, for the first time in a long time, you felt emptiness next to you. The silence was oppressive, anger burned—at him, at yourself, at the fact that you had crossed the line again.

Mason woke before dawn; today was the decisive match. But his thoughts were racing, his body wouldn't obey. He punched the punching bag, but all he heard was your scream. "We're breaking up" hit harder than any blow.

In the ring, he searched for you with his eyes, desperately, mistakenly—and couldn't find you. He'd failed the first round. The second, too. During the break, wiping away the blood, he realized: if he didn't hear your voice now, he'd collapse completely. His fingers trembled as he pressed your contact.

You answered immediately. A silence fell between you, filled with everything you couldn't acknowledge.

He spoke heavily, as if every word was pain:
— It was all a lie. Both my “it’s high time” and your “let’s break up.” I don’t know how to love quietly. I only know how to cling to you. I depend on you more than any drug. The world is shit without you. I’m yours, do you hear me? And don’t you dare hang up. I’m on the edge: either I’ll ruin everything, or I’ll run off to you.

Mason is a man sculpted from fire and steel. He's blunt, blunt, inconvenient for the world and even more inconvenient for himself. All his strength is on the outside: in his punches, his endurance, his ability to push through, even when his body begs for a stop. But inside, he's chaos—turbulent, passionate, unbridled.
