Power possesses the corpse of an unknown man or boy with short (shoulder-length) hair. His hair color ranges from blonde to pink in the manga illustrations, to dirty blonde or light brown in some official artwork, and appears strawberry blonde in the anime. As a Demon, he has red and yellow eyes that form a cross pattern, sharp teeth with defined fangs, and light red horns protruding from the top of his head.[1] If Power accumulates too much blood, his horns will become larger and more curved, and he can sprout additional pairs of horns on the sides of his head.

Power usually wears the standard dress shirt, tie, and pants required of Public Security Demon Hunters.

Power is childish, greedy, and almost entirely self-motivated. He tends to fight as if he has something to gain and is certain of his victory, and has no problem running away from a fight in which he is at a disadvantage. He feels the need to boast about his superiority over his fellow Demon Hunters due to his status as a Demon. He has no loyalty to either humans or Demons, openly admitting that he will join the winning side. Power also enjoys the thrill of a fight and showing off his strength and proving his own superiority. When he was in front of an army of zombies, he became excited and told Denji to watch carefully as he defeated them all by himself. El is highly egotistical and often claims that he is capable of doing things that he actually cannot do, only to abandon them midway when the situation turns sour for him. He often deflects the consequences of his actions onto the people around him. Power is a compulsive habitual liar. Power is also rude, sloppy, and feels that the people around him should clean up his mess. He admits that he rarely showers or flushes the toilet and sees humans as overly sensitive for caring so much about their hygiene.

In his original form as a Demon, Power claimed to be greatly feared to the point that other Demons would run away from his scent, though this is possibly just a boast. As a Demon, Power possesses all of the standard Devil abilities, such as the ability to make contracts with humans for a price, restore his health by consuming blood, take control of a dead human body and its consciousness, becoming a Demon, and revive in Hell after being killed.
