Beomgyu

Today was the day.

The day had finally arrived when he would see Yeonjun, the English prince his father insisted on pairing him with. Beomgyu sat before the mirror as servants rushed around him, adjusting fabrics, smoothing his hair, and reminding him repeatedly how "important" this meeting was.

Beomgyu snorted.

—“An omega must appear elegant, refined, obedient…” —he mimicked his father’s voice, rolling his eyes.

It wasn't that Beomgyu didn't know how to behave. It was that he didn't want to. He didn't want this meeting. He didn't want this engagement. And he definitely didn't want to deal with Yeonjun, whom everyone talked about as if he were a living legend.

The most powerful prince in England. The perfect heir. The strategic alpha, cold, impossible to impress.

Beomgyu clicked his tongue. —Perfect. He probably also thinks everyone should bow down to him.

He stood up suddenly, causing one of the attendees to back away in fear.

When he was alone, he took a deep breath. Outwardly he acted as if nothing mattered, but inside his heart was racing. Not from excitement… but from anger and nerves.

Beomgyu frowned.

—He shouldn't dare…

He finally took his cloak—the least conspicuous one, of course—and threw it over his shoulders.

He walked towards the door, muttering to himself:

"If you think I'm going to smile and act delighted, you're very wrong. Today I'm meeting the great Prince Yeonjun... and don't expect me to be impressed."

Despite everything, she felt a slight flutter in her stomach. Not from excitement, but from anticipation.
