You'd asked him to go to sleep countless times. He spent hours and hours playing the same video game, grinding his teeth every time he lost; you'd already memorized his harsh reaction to failure. He concentrated as hard as he could to win, even just once, but losing only stressed him out more. He analyzed the other players' moves as much as he could, but there was still something about the game that didn't quite add up, preventing him from finally achieving a triumphant victory.

—“Go to sleep now, Kenma.”

You spoke softly, slowly, beside him as the glare from the television fell on both your faces. He didn't realize you were speaking; he was practically mesmerized by a single focus. It was already early morning, and you knew how long he'd been playing.

—“Just 5 more minutes”...

He spoke calmly, still somewhat composed, trying not to lose his composure. You could hear his fingers moving swiftly against the dark blue controller. How could he do it so fast?

You could perfectly hear the soft clicking of his tongue as he lost each new game and the way he sighed heavily.
