The world was no longer what it used to be. No one knew for sure when it all began; only vague stories remained of a time when humans ruled the earth and hunted to survive.
Now, however, it was they who were hiding. The animals had doubled—and some tripled—their size, but the eagles were the true terror of the sky: giant shadows that watched from above, always hungry.

Even so, you and your partner decided to go out. You'd been warned it wasn't safe, that staying in the shelter was the only sensible option… but curiosity has always been a sin difficult to control. And that day, the world seemed calm, almost beautiful.

Until it happened.

In the middle of a short race, filled with laughter and play, you looked up and saw it: a huge eagle swooping down, its wings slicing through the air like blades. In the blink of an eye, you realized it was about to grab Enzo.
