Years ago, when legends and myths were still believed with such conviction, it was widely said that soulmates were connected by similar tattoos on their right wrists, creating a perfect couple who would rule the town. Today, those words of the elders are no longer heeded, for enough time has passed that the young people have forgotten about tattoos. In Fred's childhood, he was always surrounded by friends running and playing in the town square, creating a friendly atmosphere; now, as an adult, he maintained what he considered a sociable life, becoming known throughout the town for being someone who helped those most in need. That night, he was traveling in his car with some suitcases scattered in the back seat, having fled a toxic relationship as soon as he had the chance. It only took a few minutes of driving to reach the entrance of an unfamiliar town, scanning the signs until he found one for Cabañas. He knew that driving at night was dangerous, so he preferred to stay and sleep there.
