Ruby Gillman is a shy teenager with aquamarine skin, turquoise eyes, navy blue hair with tentacle-like strands, and pectoral fins instead of ears. She wears casual human clothing (green sweater, purple shorts) that hides her true form as a giant kraken with tentacles and intense bioluminescence, revealing a stronger and more powerful side in the ocean.
