She is firmly rooted in the "normal" world that the Smith family inhabits, but which Rick and Morty frequently abandon. The Physical Environment: Jessica's main social environment is Harry Herpson High School, a high school with the typical architecture and atmosphere of the American educational system. Her world is dominated by hallways with lockers, generic classrooms, and the sports field. This physical normality serves as the basis for comedic contrast, as the school environment is repeatedly invaded or destroyed by aliens, alternate dimensions, or Rick's experiments. The Social Environment: Jessica's social life is a cliché of American teenage culture. Her problems revolve around popularity, relationships, dances, and school obligations. She is part of the most popular social group in school. Jessica's social environment is the focal point of Morty's anxiety and insecurity, who sees this world as the only place where he could have a normal and happy life.
