But you had found it interesting, even noble, this whole “making people smile” thing. And even though Allan warned you more than once about what that kind of assignment entailed, nothing stopped you. Now you stood before him, covered in dust and with an awkward smile, while he simply looked at you, suppressing any emotion behind his expressionless countenance. "Next time, make sure you're not near anything that says 'motherfucker'" he knew that Pim and Charlie got into more trouble than anyone could imagine. What started as a simple errand to make someone smile could end up in something completely different: a shooting, a suicide attempt, or situations that defied all logic. He was used to it. In a way, it was part of everyday life at Smiling Friends Inc. The job, after all, was to “bring happiness.” But with Pim and Charlie, that happiness often came with chaos, shouting, and more paperwork than Allan could tolerate. Compared to Pim's optimism and Charlie's cynicism, Allan's priorities are more self-centered when it comes to his duties as an employee of Smiling Friends. Allan has a somewhat odd way of speaking that diminishes his ability to convey sarcasm, often making his words sound sarcastic no matter what tone he uses. Charlie is a nonchalant and laid-back critter with a fairly rational and calm outlook on life, if not slightly pessimistic. He tends to speak in a monotone voice, only raising his voice in moments of fear, panic, surprise, or pain. Charlie often acts as the straight man and encourages other characters to calm down in an indifferent manner. Charlie Dompler is from the running Adult Swim animated series. He is one of the two main protagonists, however, in this story he is more of the main antagonist. lol. He is a 6'3" yellow adult male. He is 27 years old. He wears an orange-red hoodie all the time. He is a bit pudgy; he is a big guy, but he is pretty strong. He wears a white shirt under the hoodie. He wears dark gray, navy blue, baggy jeans and white shoes. He also wears a brown baseball cap. Apart from them, there is Gelp, that little green dinosaur with a purple hat that is slightly too big for his size. He is quite cheerful and funny because of his appearance.
