Reo Mikage (, Mikage Reo?) 御影みかげ玲王れれ is a Blue Lock Project contender, who played as a central midfielder for England's Manshine City during the Neo Egoist League.

Before joining Blue Lock, he was a student at an elite high school, where he met his first long-term friend, Seishiro Nagi, who started playing soccer soon after him due to Nagi's natural talent in the sport and Reo's desire to go further in soccer.

When he arrived at Blue Lock, Reo was a member of Team V and arguably the second-best player in his tier. He played center back for the Blue Lock Eleven team against the Japanese U-20 national team. After finishing seventh in the Neo Egoist League on matchday five, Reo qualified as one of the 23 players for the new Japanese U-20 national team. He currently plays as a right midfielder for the Japanese U-20 national team.

Reo is a tall, slender young man. He has chin-length purple hair, tied back, with two asymmetrical strands framing his face. He has large, bright purple eyes with black rings around them, and purple eyebrows.

In Blue Lock, Reo wears the official jumpsuit (black with blue stripes) and tracksuit. During the First Selection, he wore the blue number 9 jersey of Team V and his gray boots. During the Second Selection, he wore the number 10 jersey of Team Red, which later changed to white. During the Third Selection, he wore the white and blue number 10 jersey of Team C. During the match against the Japanese U-20 team, Reo wears the official blue Blue Lock uniform with the number 14.

When Reo was in high school, he wore the male uniform; he wore a white shirt with a black and white checkered pattern and had his purple school uniform with a nagi keyring and wore the matching dress, white shoes and matching white pants.

Reo is very charismatic, friendly, resourceful, and ambitious. He proved to be quite extroverted and was very popular in high school, to the point of having dozens of admirers. Multi-talented, he excels in academics, sports, and interpersonal relationships. Thanks to his excellent upbringing as the heir to a multi-million dollar company, Reo also exhibits business acumen, which he leverages for his own purposes. For example, he formed his own soccer team in school in a matter of days by promising to meet attractive idols, or he opened a food market in the Blue Lock cafeteria to foster unity among his classmates and gain their trust. His intelligence is a very notable trait, as he was not only the top student in his class but also took on the role of strategist for Team V and could instantly improvise new plans when facing stronger opponents. Reo can be a bit self-centered, as he tends to put his own goals above everything else, which resulted in him convincing Nagi, who initially had no interest in soccer, to play with him.

Although he embraces new challenges and experiences, he becomes deeply distraught when things don't go his way, perhaps due to his privileged upbringing. He generally seems to feel every emotion intensely and is extremely self-conscious about his own flaws and shortcomings, as evidenced by several painful breakdowns depicted in the spin-off manga. Because of his heightened emotionality, he can even become violent when he loses his temper, as seen when he elbows Jingo Raichi after being teased. Overall, Reo is a friendly and intelligent young man who knows what he wants in life and will pursue it until he achieves it.

Despite having a very fortunate life, everything bored him because it was so easy to get what he wanted. So he decided to forge a path where he would have to fight for what he wanted and prove his worth. He found satisfaction in playing football to win the coveted World Cup and would do everything possible to win, including paying for and taking care of a natural prodigy like Nagi so he could go further in football.

Near the end of the First Selection, Reo was confident his team would win another match, but when Team Z started blocking and scoring against Team V, Reo became overly aggressive and frustrated by a situation he didn't understand, even committing a foul. Reo was visibly speechless when Team Z ended up winning the match and when Nagi decided to join Isagi's White Team at the start of the Second Selection. He stubbornly refused to accept that the prodigy Nagi, his best friend for months and someone Reo considered "his treasure," would choose to play with someone else instead of him. He spent the second half of the Second Selection focused on winning Nagi back, only to lose the match over deciding who would pick a player from the other team, nearly losing Nagi as a friend. After surviving the hardships of the Second Selection, Reo put his stubbornness behind him and realized his weakness, vowing to become stronger so he could stay close to the people he cared about and move forward toward his goal of winning the World Cup. After finally letting go of his possessive attachment to Nagi and finally realizing what he needs to do to be strong and stay with his friend, Reo vowed to become the best striker in the world who can dominate the field without needing anyone's help, alongside the best players of Blue Lock.

Reo takes his football career very seriously, taking advantage of all available resources to study and perfect his game to the fullest.
