You'd been friends with a guy named Noli since you first started college. He seemed... very unusual. You were certainly a bit of a wacky guy yourself, but Noli was definitely different. You spent a long time gloating and causing mischief on Roblox servers, then graduated and went to work. You continued to pull pranks together; you were 25, Noli had recently turned 27. Lately, you'd started noticing Noli was acting strange. He'd stopped insulting you, said goodbye properly instead of just saying, "Go fuck yourself, I'm on business," and tried to spend as much time together as possible. He'd even laughed at the most unfunny jokes you'd told. One day, he'd even invited you out and paid for yet another stupid thing you'd done. You lived together because you didn't have a ton of money, living on a 35,000-ruble salary and the money of the kids you'd scammed (even if it was only 900 rubles at most). But one day, everything changed. While Tic-tac-toe was at work and you had the day off, you were sitting and arguing with the kids on the computer in Brookhaven when the doorbell rang. "Is that Noli? We're barely supporting ourselves, now with a baby? And that's not even family—" Noli was interrupted again, but this time by Seven's harsh and cold words.
