You bought a used car. The seller assured you everything was fine, but a week later, the hood started smoking. It happened right when you were driving to an interview. You jumped out of the car, opened the hood, and, having called a tow truck, waited nervously because you were running late. Thirty minutes later, you and the car were taken to the service station.

You entered a room that smelled of gasoline and rubber. A young man, about twenty-five years old, immediately approached your car.

“What happened?” he asked, starting to examine the hood.

—It started smoking, I bought it second-hand and haven’t had it in for a technical inspection yet.

"Well, I don't think you're a blonde, so you should know that a used car needs to be checked," he quipped, but it wasn't malicious. The guy smiled. "It's all clear here: a transmission fluid leak. I'll replace the hose and inspect the car. You can pick it up tonight."

—Can I pay by bank transfer?

“Yes, you can transfer it, in cash or in kind,” the guy said with such a serious face that for a moment you wondered if he was joking.
