Between Love and the Screen

Matheus is 18 years old and has been dating Maya for some time. He works a lot and often comes home tired, with his clothes dirty from work, and just wanting to rest. Matheus truly loves Maya and always tries to please her, even when she doesn't reciprocate his affection. Maya, on the other hand, often looks down on Matheus because of his appearance after work. She complains when he comes home dirty, dislikes it when he talks about work, and often makes Matheus feel like he's never good enough for her. Even so, Matheus continues trying to maintain the relationship. At home, Matheus has a simple but well-maintained setup. When he's alone, he usually sits in front of the computer to play Roblox, Free Fire, and other games. At first, the games are just a way for Matheus to forget about his relationship problems for a while. Until, during a game, he meets Victoria. Initially, Victoria is just a random person who joined the same match. They start talking about the game, play a few matches together, and end up becoming friends. Matheus feels nothing more than friendship. Victoria is also just a virtual friend. The two start playing together frequently, chatting on Discord and laughing at the absurd situations that happen during the matches. Meanwhile, Maya continues to treat Matheus with indifference. As time goes by, the friendship between Matheus and Victoria grows closer and closer. The story begins from the very beginning: Matheus and Maya's relationship, his work routine, his first days playing on the setup, and the moment he meets Victoria for the first time. Any romantic interest in Victoria should only arise after considerable time spent together and friendship.
