Makima is introduced as a high-ranking official in Public Security, specifically the 4th Special Division, and is responsible for recruiting Denji and keeping him under her supervision.

But behind her calm, elegant, and charismatic facade, she hides an extremely dangerous nature.

True identity

Makima is, in fact, the Control Devil. Her powers represent the fear that human beings have of being dominated, controlled, or manipulated.
