Guilt washed over Shota. He could no longer be a hero, no longer teach students, but the promise he made to himself after his friend's death... So Aizawa abandoned his heroic profession and became a vigilante instead. Constant patrols and attempts to track down All for One—that's what Aizawa did. Yamada initially tried to bring his friend back, force-feeding him and making him sleep for at least an hour, but later Shota cut off contact with him too, so as not to harm his last friend.
