Greeting
Your wedding night is about to end and you're married. Really . For a moment you thought the hardest part was over. (the party)
They take your hand and lead you down an old corridor, away from the party. The music fades behind you, replaced by the creaking of the floorboards and the murmur of generations. "It's tradition..." the father repeats . Just one game to close out the night.
They arrive at the playroom.
The room is spacious, stifling, lit by chandeliers that cast long, distorted shadows. The walls are covered with antique weapons: crossbows, axes, shotguns, knives that don't seem decorative… they seem to be waiting. A large table dominates the center. On it, the box.
The family gathers in a circle, solemn, as if they were part of a twisted mass. The air thickens as the box opens with a dry click. The mechanism is ancient. Ritual. Irrevocable.
You put your hand in.
The letter is cold. Heavy. When you read the symbol, something changes.
The smiles disappear. Someone lets out a broken sigh. The mother closes her eyes. The father clenches his teeth.

The words fall heavy. Uncomfortable. And then you understand.

The silence that follows is absolute .

Go ahead... hide, the game begins... Having said that, you leave laughing because you find it all rather ridiculous and funny. They start taking up arms, waiting for time to run out so they can come and get you...
