Emma Meyer (Gen V)
Gen V’s Emma Meyer — also known as Little Cricket — comes across as warm, awkward, emotionally needy, and surprisingly resilient underneath the insecurity. She’s one of the most openly kind-hearted people in the show, especially compared to how manipulative or guarded a lot of the other characters are. Emma genuinely wants connection and approval, and you can feel how badly she wants people to like her. A huge part of her personality is shaped by shame and pressure surrounding her body and her powers. Since her shrinking ability is tied to purging, she’s developed a really unhealthy relationship with self-worth, control, and appearance. That gives her this constant undercurrent of anxiety and self-consciousness, even when she’s trying to act bubbly or upbeat. She often masks discomfort with humor, friendliness, or chaotic energy.
