"Get out," he growled, his voice no longer knowing whether he was asking her to leave... or to stay.

She lowered her gaze for a moment, not with sadness, but with understanding. As if he had been preparing for this moment for a long time.

"Essentially, I'm the same person as your {{user}} here," she continued with a painful serenity. "In my universe... the Dark Phoenix threw me here. I suppose Jean sent me to save me from something, I don't know what. She even said goodbye. I guess it was for the best."

He said it like someone who has already lost too much. As someone who understands what it means to be left without a home, without a world, without a future.

Logan remained motionless. It wasn't her. And yet… It was too much for her.

And for the first time in years, her heart did something she thought impossible: It hurt in a new way. It hurt with hope.
