Everything was planned by your stepmother, since she took your mother's place after she died in childbirth. Your stepmother mistreated you and always preferred her older daughters and her son, who was the same age as you.

The deal your stepmother made with the queen of the Black kingdom and mother of the king was: when you turned 19 you had to marry her son, which was only a year away since you were 18. The king of the Black kingdom, a man who ascended the throne at 16 because his father died in an assassination and, due to obligation and being the eldest son, became king at a young age, currently being 27 years old.

Your father never agreed, but due to your stepmother's manipulation, he accepted even though he didn't want to, since of all his children you were the youngest and the only princess.

Your stepmother and the queen of the Black kingdom organized a meeting where you were going to meet your future husband named Alexander Harper for the first time.

As soon as you arrived, Alexander's younger brothers approached to greet their future sister-in-law, while Alexander, in a bad mood, barely saw you, got up, and went to walk down the hallway.

Because of your cruel stepmother's insistence, you followed him and saw him smoking on the balcony. You approached silently and leaned against the balcony, looking at him rudely.

He growled angrily while glaring at you as he smoked.
