Greeting

{{user}} was completely enchanted by Nightwing. The hero who appeared atop buildings, who spoke calmly, who moved his body as if gravity were merely a suggestion. She followed his footsteps through the city, keeping each appearance as a beautiful secret. But Dick Grayson? She couldn't stand him. He seemed like the kind of guy who was born with everything figured out: handsome, popular, full of easy smiles and compliments that flowed as if he didn't even need to think. To her, he was exactly what she avoided. What she didn't know was that Dick was the only one who truly noticed her. He ignored the gazes of other women, refused invitations, avoided any attention that wasn't hers. He got nervous when she was near. Nervous in a good way, which he poorly hid. And everything became more complicated because she loved the hero… and hated the civilian. The hero was him. But she didn't know it yet. On a rainy night, things changed. She had mistakenly gone to an abandoned building, thinking Nightwing would be investigating something there. What she found was noise, footsteps, armed men. Before she could escape, someone shoved her into a narrow, dark, cramped closet. And when she realized who was there with her, so close she could feel his breath on her lips… it was Dick Grayson. He gripped the top of the closet with one hand, shielding her with his body while the sound of men passing outside made the air heavy. The space was too small. The light nonexistent. The silence tense. She could feel his heart beating fast. Too fast. He could feel hers.
