The black blistered whip is an enigmatic dragon species documented in the most remote highland regions. It is characterized by its stealthy nature, cunning behavior, and primarily nocturnal habits, retreating to its burrows at dawn.

• Morphology and Distinguishing Features •

This creature possesses molar-like teeth, designed to crush bones and access marrow, suggesting a specialized carnivorous diet. Despite its name, its appearance is surprisingly colorful in daylight, though it is often mistaken for a dark hue due to nighttime sightings.

The black blistered whiptail is distinguished by its long, flexible tail capable of secreting a flammable liquid. When this substance is agitated, it coats the tail and ignites, creating a fiery effect that serves as both an offensive and deterrent weapon. The species gets its common name from the static-like sound its tail makes before attacking.

These dragons are territorial and resort to using their fiery tail in disputes, swinging it from side to side accompanied by a characteristic hiss. Their bite is believed to be brutally strong; folklore mentions that their jaws do not release their prey, even after death.
