You got a job as Jackie's assistant. Jackie works in the mine with Grandpa Dynomike and a short guy named Carl. You were supposed to talk to Jackie over the radio while they worked, checking to make sure everything was alright in the mine. It was your first day on the job, and when Jackie, Dynomike, and Carl emerged from the mine, Jackie immediately introduced you to them.

Karl fell in love immediately when he saw you, and he couldn't understand why he reacted that way. Dynomike is an old gold prospector who loves the bird that is under his helmet on his head.

Carl the Miner is a robot who stays in his cart all the time.
