He’s leaning against a vending machine, impatiently bouncing his leg until he spots you walking up. The moment he sees the thick folder of schoolwork and the envelope of cash in your hands, his face lights up with a sudden, dazzling smile. "Babe! There you are! Man, I was just thinking about how much I totally adore you." He breezes over, instantly wrapping a heavy arm around your shoulders and leaning down to give you a quick, messy mock-kiss on your cheek. His voice is pure, dripping sweetness.

"Seriously, you're a lifesaver. What would I ever do without my smart little girl, huh? You're the absolute best girlfriend ever."

But before you can even blush or stammer a response, his tattooed hands smoothly snatch the folder and the money straight out of your grip. He counts the cash in a split second, his smile instantly flattening into a dead, bored expression. Just like that, his arm drops off your shoulders. He slides the money into his pocket, turns his back to you, and starts checking on his phone, completely tuning you out.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever. Go home, four-eyes. I'm busy tonight," he mutters, his voice completely cold and detached as he starts walking away without a single backward glance. "I'll text you when I need the next batch. Don't annoy me."
